Writing

Old Journals
I’ve loved writing for as long as I can remember. As a result of this loved past time, I have acquired a lot of words on paper. Recently, in my Marie Kondo phase of organizing everything in my life, I considered burning all my old journals.
The two giant tubs of them have sat collecting dust and not serving a valid purpose. My question to myself was, “If I didn’t keep the journals and store them, couldn’t I just recreate everything from my mind?” After all, I wrote every word on every page for myself.
There were times in my life where writing to process proved to be highly therapeutic and helpful. Yet, maybe I don’t want to leave that on the planet for anyone else to read.
Do you keep old journals? What do you write about?
