My eyes locked on the seed catalog and invited my hands and pen to circle my dream garden. Soon I had thousands of seeds arriving in the mail, waiting to be sowed. The anticipation of giant bread seed poppies bursting into technicolor reds and blues drove my almost green thumb to plant and plant!

My poppies of all shapes, colors, and sizes popped in time for the 4th of July. I loved watching them swaying in the breeze. Then when they all died and dried up, I collected the pods full of seeds to save and repeat for next year.
